Brief Itinerary : New Delhi> Shimla ( 2 Nights) > Manali ( 3 Nights) > Dharamshala ( 1 Night) > Dalhousie ( 2 Nights) > Amritsar (1 Night) and back to New Delhi at the end.
On your arrival at Delhi airport / Railway station you will be met by our driver and he will drive you to Shimla (360 kms / 8- 9 hrs) via Ambala, Barog, Solan. Enroute you will stop for lunch break, comfort breaks and would have enough time to stop for photo breaks. You will reach Shimla in the evening and will transfer to the hotel. Evening is free to relax. Overnight in Shimla for 2 nights.
Please Note: You can also start the tour from Ambala Cantt railway station(150 kms from Shimla) Chandigarh railway station (120 kms from Shimla), which are the major railway stations near to Shimla and trains are available from many different parts of India. Chandigarh airport also have flights from all major cities in India.
Today after breakfast our driver will take you for the sightseeing tour of Shimla and we will visit the Green valley with the beautiful views of the Shimla water catchment area, Yak Point where you can wear the local traditional dresses and ride the Yak- A Himalayan animal, Kufri fun World where you can enjoy the joy rides, Indira Tourist Park with Kufri Zoo famous for Himalayan Pheasants, Leopards and Bears. We will also visit the famous Jakhoo Temple which is the highest point of Shimla. Later evening walk around the Mall road of Shimla where you can visit the Ridge, The Christ Church of Shimla, The Gaiety Theatre building, the scandal point of Shimla and the famous Mall Road Of Shimla. Second night stay at same hotel in Shimla.
Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Manali ( 260 kms / 7-8 hr). Manali and is the district headquarters of Kullu Manali valley. Just a step away from the adorable snow mountains with views of lush meadows situated on the banks of river Beas, Manali is just 51 kilometres below the famous Rohtang Pass (3,980 metres). Enroute we stop for comfort breaks / lunch break and drive pass Sundernagar, Mandi, Aut and Kullu. We will visit Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Mata Temple and the shawl weaving factory at Kullu. On arrival check in to the hotel. Enjoy the evening at leisure followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Manali for 3 nights.
Today morning after breakfast our driver will take you for a full day Sightseeing tour to Rohtang Pass, famous for its magnificent mountain views and cool refreshing air. If Rohtang pass is closed we will take you up to Snow Line "Snow Line" refers to the barrier placed by the government to avoid risks during heavy Snowfall. On the way to Rohtang Pass we will also visit the beautiful places like Kothi, Gulaba, Marhi etc. On the way back we will also visit the Solang Valley where you can enjoy the cable cars ( Mountain Rope Way ) to the top of the Mountain and other activities like dirt bikes/ snow scooters, pony rides / paragliding etc. Later drive back to Manali and evening is free to explore the Mall Road and the local market of Manali.Second night and dinner at the same hotel in Manali.
Please Note:Rohtang Pass is closed on every Tuesday and visiting months will depend upon Government Notice as Mostly the top of the Rohtang pass remains closed due to Hevay snowfall from Mid November to Early May. In Winters, Vehicle will stop by the Police Barrier/ Traffic Jam Queue. Since NGT (National Green Tribunal) is allowing only limited vehicle to Rohtang pass per day, the Rohtang pass sightseeing will be subject to availability of the permit available online or on the spot and our travel company make the best effort to obtain permits to visit Rohtang pass for you.
Today morning after breakfast our driver will take you for the sightseeing of Manali covering the famous sights of Manali including the Hadimba Devi Temple, Vashishth Temple and Hot water sulphur springs, Club house, Buddhist Monasteries, Van Vihar. Evening is free to visit the Tibetan Market and the Mall Road of Manali. Third Night stay in the same hotel at Manali.
Today after breakfast check out from the hotel and we will drive you to Dharamshala (235 kms/ 8-9 hrs). Enroute if interested, today you can do the white water rafting in Babeli near Kullu. We will visit the famous Lord Shiva Hindu Temple at Baijnath, the tea gardens and tea processing factory and Palampur a Chamunda Devi temple on the way to Dharamshala. We will stop for various picture shots and lunch break on the way. We will arrive Dharamshala by evening and will check in at the hotel at Mcleodganj- in the footsteps of Dhauladhar Himalayas. Originally home of the semi-nomadic Gaddi tribe, Mcleodganj is today the residence of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. Evening is free to walk around the local interesting market of Mcleodganj. Overnight in Dharamshala for 1 night.
T Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel 8:30 A.M and proceed for the half day sightseeing tour around Dharamshala. We will visit the Bagsu Nag temple, Bagsu Nag waterfall, Dalai Lama's monastery, St. John Church in the wilderness, Dharamshala cricket ground, war memorial and the famous Norbulingka institute and monastery at Sidhbari.
Later by late afternoon 2:00 P.M drive to Dalhousie (118 kms / 4 hrs). We will be reach Dalhousie by evening checks in the hotel and overnight stay in Dalhousie for 2 nights. Dalhousie is a Spectacular hill station with romantic backdrops, full of Colonial Charm, plunging pine-clad valleys a distant mountain views, marvellous forest trails, waterfalls and springs.
Today after breakfast we will drive you to Kalatop and Khajjiar – also popular as the Mini Switzerland of India. It is one of the most scenic saucer shaped Plateau and is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, its beauty has further been enhanced by a small lake in the centre. We travel through the romantic and scenic road of Kalatop to Khajjiar – the highlight of all the tourist attractions on this tour. Today we will visit the Kalatop where you can take a nature walk from Kalatop toll Bridge to Kalatop Rest House. You will have enough time to go at your pace and spend quality time with your family and loved ones in the lap of nature, beautified with lush green hills.
One can enjoy the walks; pony rides around Khajjiar and even can go for paragliding, pony rides, Zorbing in Khajjiar. We will return to Dalhousie in the evening and will visit the Subash Chowk and the mall road market. If time permits you can also visit the Jandri Ghat palace, and Panjpulla – a romantic waterfall sight- good to visit specially during the monsoon time. Second night in the same hotel at Dalhousie.
Today morning after breakfast at 8:30 A.M check out from the hotel and we will drive you to Amritsar ( 200 kms/ 5 hrs). ). Enroute stop for lunch break/comfort breaks and on arrival at Amritsar we will directly drive you to Atari Wagha border, on Indo-Pak Border -30 KM on the road to Lahore is India-Pakistan Border , where we have to arrive by 4:00 P.M. A visit to the border is an interesting experience especially at Sunset, when the retreat ceremony takes place with the Border Security Force on the Indian Side and the Sutlej Rangers on the Pakistan side putting up a well coordinated and spectacular display. The sound from the Bugles blown together from both sides paints past on the canvas when India and Pakistan were one, simultaneously Flags of the two nations are ceremoniously retrieved and lights are switched on marking the end of the day.
Return back to Amritsar and overnight in hotel for 1 night.
Today after breakfast check out from the hotel at 7:45 A.M and visit the Harmandir Sahib Gurudawara known as the Golden temple at Amritsar the biggest and holiest Sikh shrine in the world – gilded with pure gold, Jallianwala Bagh-the historic site where hundreds of innocent Indian men, women and children were massacred by British General Michael Dyer on April 13, 1919. A memorial and Garden have been created here as a national monument. Later by 11:00 A.M we continue our drive to New Delhi (465 kms/ 9 hrs). On arrival at New Delhi by evening 7:30 P.M where on arrival we will transfer you to the railway station/ airport to board your train/ flight back home.
Please Note:You can extend 1 night extra in New Delhi and we can transfer you to the railway station/airport on the next day. You can even finish the tour at Amritsar railway station / airport which is connected to all the major cities in India by trains and flights.
