The cycling experience begins from Sanjauli and gradually moves out of Shimla town towards Mashobra, covering around 7 kilometres in approximately 45 minutes. This initial route passes through the outskirts of the town before entering the peaceful mountain roads and forest surroundings near Mashobra.

Further continue cycling from Mashobra towards Bekhalti, a peaceful Himalayan village located on the Shimla–Narkanda Highway. This stretch covers approximately 18 kilometres and usually takes around 2:30 hours depending on cycling speed, comfort breaks, photography stops, and overall pace.

The total cycling duration from Sanjauli – Mashobra – Bekhalti is approximately 3:30 hours back to starting point.

For travellers looking for a more adventurous and long-distance cycling experience, the return journey can be continued from Bekhalti towards Fagu – Kufri – Sanjauli.
This return route covers approximately 18 kilometres and usually takes around 2:30 hours depending on cycling pace and stops.
• The first 6 kilometres involve a gradual uphill climb till Galeu Valley, after which most of the cycling route remains either flat or downhill, making it one of the most scenic and enjoyable countryside cycling routes near Shimla.

Option 3 - One Way Cycling Tour Till Bekhalti :
Travellers who wish to enjoy only the one-way cycling experience till Bekhalti can leave the bicycles at Bekhalti and return towards Shimla using public transportation on direct payment basis.
An additional charge of INR 800/- per cycle (up to 4 cycles) is payable for transporting the bicycles back to the starting point.
Local buses on this route are generally available till around 7:00 PM in the evening at intervals of approximately 15 minutes.
Alternatively, after dropping the bicycles at Bekhalti, Summit Safari India can also arrange a private cab back to Shimla at an additional cost starting from INR 2,000/-

Bicycle Inspection & Damage Responsibility :
Guests are requested to carefully inspect the bicycle and take a short test ride before starting the cycling tour. Any issue or concern must be reported immediately before the tour begins, as bicycle replacement or changes is not possible once the shimla cycling tour has started.
All bicycles and helmets are handed over in proper working condition. Guests are responsible for handling the equipment carefully during the ride. Any damage caused to the bicycle, helmet, or accessories due to negligence, mishandling, accident, or improper use will be deducted from the refundable security deposit. In case the repair or replacement cost exceeds the security deposit amount, the additional balance shall be payable by the guest.

Advance Payment Policy
50% advance payment of the total tour cost is required for bookings made 4 days or more prior to the activity date.
100% advance payment is required for bookings made within 3 days or less of the activity date.
Your booking will be considered confirmed only after the required advance payment has been received.

Cancellation Charges
Cancellation made 4 days or more before the activity date: 25% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
Cancellation made less than 4 days before the activity date and up to 30 hours prior to the activity: 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
Cancellation made within 24 hours or less before the activity: 100% cancellation charges apply. The booking will be non-refundable and non-transferable.

No Rescheduling / No Transfer Policy
Once confirmed, bookings cannot be rescheduled to another date or time slot.
Bookings are non-transferable and cannot be shifted to another participant, group, or future activity date, as cycling slots are limited and reserved in advance.

Weather & Rain Policy
This policy applies only in case of rain on the scheduled activity day and time slot.
Cycling tours generally operate throughout the year, including the monsoon and rainy season, as many cycling enthusiasts enjoy riding in different weather conditions.
In case of rain during your scheduled activity time, if guests choose to cancel at the last moment (up to 2 hours before the activity start time), 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees, and the remaining 50% amount will be refunded.
If the cancellation is made within 45 minutes or less before the activity start time, no refund will be applicable, even in case of rain.
This weather-related cancellation policy is valid only for rain occurring on the confirmed tour date and booked time slot, and cancellations must be made strictly as per the above-mentioned timeline.
Once the cycling tour has started, no refund will be provided, even in the event of rain, changing weather conditions, or extreme weather situations.
Guests are strongly advised to carry their own rain protection gear (raincoat/poncho), especially when participating in the activity during the monsoon season.

No Show / Late Arrival Policy
No Show = No Refund. If a guest fails to arrive for the scheduled activity without prior notice, the booking amount will be fully forfeited.
Guests are requested to arrive on time. Delays may result in reduced cycling time, and extensions may not be possible due to pre-booked slots.

The cancellation request will be considered valid only after it has been received through both the above-mentioned communication channels.
Any eligible refund, if applicable, will be processed within 48 hours of cancellation*, after deduction of the applicable cancellation charges as per the booking policy.
Refunds will be processed through the same payment mode used at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed.

Late Return Policy
Guests are requested to return the bicycle at the same pickup/collection point within the allotted activity duration. A grace period of up to 30 minutes will be provided, and no additional charges will apply during this period, irrespective of the reason for delay.
However, if the delay exceeds 30 minutes (31 minutes or more), additional charges will apply as per the hourly extension rate mentioned above. Any extra usage time will be calculated on an hourly basis and rounded up to the next full hour.
Example :
Extra usage of 1 hour 30 minutes will be charged as 2 additional hours.
Extra usage of 31 minutes to 1 hour will be charged as 1 additional hour.
