Today to start with you Odisha tribal, cultural and heritage tour India , you will be met from your flight to Kolkata International Airport by Summit Safari’s representative and driver, and we will transfer you to your hotel in Kolkata. Rest of the day is free at leisure to relax after the flight.

Please Note: Instead of Kolkata you can start or finish this tour at New Delhi also. New Delhi international airport is in North India, and being the Capital of India it has direct flights from all over the world.

We are finishing the tour at Hyderabad, but if you don’t find suitable return flights from Hyderabad we can tailor made your trip and you can skip Hyderabad and finish te trip at Kolkata/ New Delhi at the end. Today after breakfast we will take you for the private guided tour of Kolkata covering, the famous sights of Kolkata including the Victoria Memorial, Flower Market, Howrah Bridge, Marble Palace, Mother Terrace Home . We will also visit KumarTuli- literally means “Potters’ quarter”, ‘Kumar’ being a potter or artisan. Over time, it has morphed itself into a leading place for sculpting of idols for most major Indian festivals. This place today, is famous for its sculptures of the Goddess Durga (or Shakti) and even exports to a number of countries. You can have lunch with famous Nizam Kathi Roll. Today highlight also includes he tram ride and the ferry ride with the on the river Ganges at Kolkata. By evening return back to the hotel for second night stay in the same hotel in Kolkata

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and we will transfer you to Kolkata airport from where you will board your flight to Visakhapatnam, popularly known as Vizag, a city in Andhra Pradesh. It is a booming industrial city on the east coast of India, a port city with the biggest ship building yard in India, and is also the headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command. The beautiful city with its twin town Waltair, forms a harmonious blend of majestic hills, valleys and golden beaches along the Bay of Bengal coastline.

On arrival at Visakhapatnam you will be met by our driver and we will transfer you to the hotel. Later in the evening we will take you to visit Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha temple a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Return back to the hotel in the evening. Overnight in Visakhapatnam.

Today early morning with packed breakfast check out from the hotel and at 6:30 A.M we will transfer you to Visakhapatnam railway station to board the local passenger train leaving at 6.50 A.M to Bheja railway station ( 173 kms) arriving at 12:10 P.M. This is one of the most scenic and picturesque railway journeys in India through Araku valley. This spectacular train ride passes through various tunnels, mountains, beautiful valleys, waterfall, tribal hamlet, forest, coffee plantations of the Eastern Ghats mountain range.

On arrival at Bheja railway station you will be met by our driver and we will make a short drive to Desia where the tribal community tourism centre, give you warm welcome as per local rituals. Late afternoon walk to Mali tribal village to study their indigenous agricultural practice. Overnight stay at Desia for three nights.

Please Note: If you are not interested in the train journey, you have a choice to continue with the driver who will be driving from Vishakhapatnam to Desia with your baggage. It is a passenger train and it stops every after 15-20 minutes on each of the railway station. There are 16 railway station in between the starting point and the end point of our journey. But it’s a great experience to see the local life from closer during the train journey in India.

You will be assisted to board the train and your baggage will remain in the car. The same driver will meet you at the other end on arrival at Bheja railway station.

After a peaceful riverside picnic breakfast, excursion to Nandapur area to visit the colourful tribal weekly market for Gadaba, Mali tribes. Experience this market by meeting various ethnic tribal groups. Walk in and around the local tribal market and also visit the tribal villages. Enjoy the relaxing walk in the valley.

Today we buy fresh organic vegetables and spices, from the tribal market and return back to Desia, and join the cooking classes being hosted y the tribal women. Second night in the same hotel in Desia.

Today morning short drive to Ounkadelli to meet the most interesting tribes of India Bonda tribe also called Remo. This indigenous Bonda community visit their weekly market only on Thursday and adorn their upper body with various beads and jewelleries. The Bonda tribes carry their home made alcohol to sale in this market. You have the great opportunity to meet and interact with this community and if desire share a drink with them.

Also meet another interesting indigenous Gadaba and Didayi tribe. After a memorable time in the market, walk in and around the market.

Drive back to Desia and Enroute enjoy the picnic lunch besides the scenic Dudumba waterfall, formed by Machakund River. Afternoon walk along the riverside and evening enjoy the Dhemsa dance performed by the tribal community. Evening enjoy your dinner with bonfire. Third night stay at the same hotel at Desia.

Today morning after breakfast, check out and we will drive you to Gopalpur. It is a full day drive (320 kms/ 8hrs). Enroute we will stop for lunch break and couple of comfort breaks. Arrive Gopalpur by evening and check into the luxury hotel for two nights. Rest of the day is free to relax at the hotel.

Today you have a free day to relax at the beautiful beach resort of Gopalur. You can walk around the beach and enjoy the swim at the beach. If interested optional sightseeing could be suggested for the day during the time of planning your tour otherwise have a relaxing day by the pool or walking by the beach. Second night in the same hotel at Gopalpur.

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel at 7:30 A.M and we will drive you to Puri (190 kms/ 5.30 hrs), via Mangalajodi along the outer Chilika lake which is an ideal site for bird watchers. From mid November to Mid march, this place is an ideal habitat for various migratory and residential birds. Its worth to take the local catamaran ride into various water channels for a birding trip which continues for approximately 2 hrs.

Later continue your drive to Puri one of the holiest places for Hindus in India. On arrival check in to the hotel and late afternoon spend the day exploring the town, including a visit to impressive Jagannath Temple (viewed from the outside only). Explore the lanes of the holy city and its places of cultural importance by our Green rider Rickshaw service. By evening return back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Puri for two nights.

Today morning after breakfast we will drive you for the day excursion to nearby rural villages where we will meet and interact with the local artist and crafts men. After lunch proceed to Konark to take the guided tour to this UNESCO world heritage site of the famous Sun temple - where the language of stones defeated the language of human, which is a magical experience in terms of words. Later return back to Puri for the second night stay in the same hotel.

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Bhubaneswar. Enroute we will visit the Buddhist peace pagoda, Ashoka rock edicts and the appliqué makers at the craft villages of Pipli and Dhauli. Here you discover Odisha handlooms and the special tie and dye patterns known as Ikat using silk, tusser etc. You can witness here all the steps involve starting from silk cocoons until the finished product. Later continue to Bhubaneswar where on arrival check in to the hotel for one night. Evening is free to relax.

Today after breakfast check from the hotel and we will take you on a private guided tour of this heritage city that boasts some extraordinary Hindu temples including the famous Lingaraj Temple (viewed from the outside only).

You can have lunch in a local restaurant and later after the heritage tour of Bhubaneswar; in the evening we will transfer you to the airport from where you will board your flight to Hyderabad. On arrival at Hyderabad you will be met by our driver, and we will transfer you to your hotel in Hyderabad for two nights.

We cover the walking tour of the local markets in Bhubaneswar along with the below mentioned famous heritage sites;

Mangal arati at Muketwar Temple: 9th century AD, this is the only temple in (Odhisa) Orissa where outside and inside both have carved such as many unique feature, Bidalas, Egyptian art form, story of pancha tantra, main goal of life and inside carving such as astha matruka, quality of a female and many more non Hindus are allowed.

Lingaraj temple (11th century AD): 55mt height in side compound 32 big and small temple - worth to visit - allow only for Hindu people / non hindu people can visit the temple on the top of platform.

Vaital temple: (8th century AD), Khakaramundi temple) dedicate for the Sakti cult Chamunda. Outside of temple wall excursion the mixing forms of Shiva and parvati, non Hindus are allowed.

Rajarani temple: (11th century AD) like Besar style (central Indian temple architecture). Beautiful carving 8 dikpals and outside beautiful garden by ASI.

Today after breakfast we will take you for the private guided full day sightseeing tour of Hyderabad to view some of the famous sights including the fort and tomb complex at the magnificent Golconda fort, Chowmahalla Palace, Salarjung Museum, Char Minar an iconic symbol of Hyderabad. Enjoy a delicious afternoon lunch of biryani at a famous local restaurant.Second night at the same hotel in Hyderabad.

Today morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and as per your flight schedule we will transfer you to the international airport in Hyderabad, from where you will board your flight back to home.

Many of these are run by the locals of these areas. Kolkata and Hyderabad have plenty of star category hotels and one can choose the place of accommodation according to one’s requirement and budget.
