We ride our 500 CC Royal Enfield Motor Bikes through one of the most isolated, remotest and vibrant regions of the Himalayas. Is a deserted mountain valley located high in the Indian Himalaya mountains. The name “Spiti” means “The Middle Land”, the land between Tibet and Ladakh. The valley lies in the North East of the Indian hill state of Himachal Pradesh, and forms part of the Lahaul and Spiti district. We start our ride from Shimla- the historic summer capital of the British Raj to Kinnaur valley also known as the tribal valley of Himachal Pradesh and further continue to the Beautiful high altitude Spiti valley of Indian Himalayas.
Spiti’s mountains form a part of the Central and Greater Himalayas and several peaks are over 6,000 metres providing unparalleled panoramic views from the valley. The valley and surrounding region is one of the least populated and isolated regions in India and is famous as the off beat tourism destination in Himalayas. The valley is also known as the tribal valley of Himachal- the Tribal People (hardworking mountain tribes) follow the same Buddhist culture as that of Tibet and Ladakh. For centuries people in these remote valleys lived largely isolated from one another, holding and preserving the treasures and secrets of ancient civilizations untainted by modernity unmatched outside these mountains.
While following the Indian Tibet border road weride at your own pace discovering amazing mountain beauty, miles of serene rural dirt tracks and tranquil dirt roads, high altitude lakes, high mountain passes hidden away from the bustle of town life and well off the tourist track. You will ride through lush-green terraced fields, small villages with ancient Hindu temples and Buddhist monasteries and shrines still preserved after many centuries. We will explore the natural preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk at Gue village and will experience the rich Buddhist culture with its oldest monasteries at Tabo village in the Himalayas. We will also visit the beautiful clear water lake of Nako, and Chandartal Lake in the Isolated parts of Himalayas.
